Faith & Trust
for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Now, brothers, I entrust you to God and to the word of his grace, which is able to build up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.
A letter may be written, which is not sealed; so grace may be written in the heart, yet the Spirit may not set the seal of assurance to it.
having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us: if prophecy, let’s prophesy according to the proportion of our faith;
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Faith occupies the position of a channel or conduit pipe. Grace is the fountain and the stream; faith is the aqueduct along which the flood of mercy flows down to refresh the thirsty sons of men.
I see thy goodness delights to have thy favours sued for, expecting we should crave what thou intendest we should have.
They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
True grace, when weakest, is stronger than false when strongest. There is a principle of divine life in it which the other hath not.
That the trust we put in GOD honours Him much, and draws down great graces.
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all those who heard the word.

Your acquisition of feeling would not qualify you for it, nor bring it nearer, nor buy its blessings, nor make you more welcome, nor persuade God to do anything for you that he is not at this moment most willing to do.
