The best bulwark of faith is a good and honest heart.
“Now therefore fear Yahweh, and serve him in sincerity and in truth. Put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, in Egypt; and serve Yahweh.”
Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD.
For he who confesses to Thee doth not teach Thee what takes place within him; seeing a closed heart closes not out Thy eye.
