Hope & Comfort
Be of good cheer, my brother: I feel the bottom, and it is good.
When Jesus casts you out, it will be time enough to despair; but that time will never come.
This river has been a terror to many; yea, the thoughts of it also have often frightened me; but now methinks I stand easy.
My soul is dying, my soul is damning. Were my soul but in a good condition, and were I but sure of it, ah! how rich should I esteem myself, though blessed but with bread and water!
It is the Shepherd’s business to keep the sheep.
