Peace & Calm
Our souls may from their weariness arise towards Thee, leaning on those things which Thou hast created, and passing on to Thyself, who madest them wonderfully.
To live contented upon God in the deficiency of outward comforts, is an art which flesh and blood hath not learned; nay, many of God’s own children, who excel in some duties of religion, when they come to this of contentment, how do they bungle?
So then, let’s follow after things which make for peace, and things by which we may build one another up.
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
