Dwell much in the inner chamber, with the door shut—shut in from men, shut up with God; it is there the Father waits you, it is there Jesus will teach you to pray.
The blessing of such persevering prayer is unspeakable.

In Christ the Holiness of God appeared in a human life: in Christ’s example we have the Holiness translated into human conduct.
The condition of God’s blessing is absolute surrender of all into His hands.
God cannot do it.
It is not sin, but grace, that will make me indeed know myself a sinner, and make the sinner’s place of deepest self-abasement the place I never leave.
If our life with Christ be right, all will come right.

The only right and safe place for the creature is to be and remain absolutely, unceasingly, universally dependent upon God.
The difficulty of importunate prayer is our highest privilege; the difficulties to be overcome bring us our richest blessings.
If I am something, then God is not everything; but when I become nothing, God can become all, and the everlasting God in Christ can reveal Himself fully.
God’s nature is to be always giving.
What is done in the will of God, the strength of God will not be withheld from it; what is done in the will of God must have the mighty blessing of God.
Your religious life is every day to be a proof that God works impossibilities; your religious life is to be a series of impossibilities made possible and actual by God’s almighty power. That is what the Christian needs.
