A going Christian is a growing Christian.
It is only in the path of following clear leading that there comes sweetest peace, with no nagging doubts and mental confusion.
He must yield before His advance, and he must yield before this man who stands for Jesus down on the earth.
A man’s whole life is utterly dependent upon the giving hand of God. Everything we need comes from Him.

True prayer moves in a circle. It begins in the heart of God, sweeps down into a human heart upon the earth, so intersecting the circle of the earth, which is the battle-field of prayer, and then it goes back again to its starting point, having accomplished its purpose on the downward swing.
It takes power for the man of God in the pulpit to speak plainly about particular sins before the faces of those who are living in them.
Prayer is not extracting favours from a reluctant God. It is not passing a check in a bank window for money.
No one ever had a sight of Christ’s face and forgot.
Jesus was God on a wooing errand to the earth.
A man walking alone down the middle of the one true path was more to Him, immensely more, than a great crowd wabbling along on the edge.
You can apprehend Him. You can take hold of Him.
Obedience is the organ of understanding.
The Spirit of God in working among men seeks embodiment in men, through whom He acts.
The life is the indorsement of the lips.
A man must plan for the bit of quiet time daily, preferably in the early morning, alone with Jesus.
Jesus was God answering the tug of man’s need on His heart-strings.
Prayer is working together with God. Prayer is pulling with God in His plan for a world.
Man was born in the warm heart of God.
