In short, let us be accustomed to recollect ourselves during the day and in the midst of our occupations, by a simple view of God.
By often repeating these acts, they become habitual, and the presence of God is rendered as it were natural to us.
The Lord seeth whither thou art going better than thou dost, which makes him call after thee, ‘Turn, turn.’ He seeth what will become of thee if thou turn not. He thinketh with himself, ‘Ah this poor sinner will cast himself into endless torments if he do not turn.’
Where God enters and rests, there is holiness; it is the presence of God makes holy.
That in order to form a habit of conversing with GOD continually, and referring all we do to Him; we must at first apply to Him with some diligence.
God has infinite treasure to bestow, and we take up with a little sensible devotion.
“Most certainly, I tell you, one who doesn’t enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, is a thief and a robber.”
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
