If our work is mere profession on our part, the quicker we renounce it the better.
Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.
Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
Evil-speaking is neither more nor less than speaking evil of an absent person; relating something evil, which was really done or said by one that is not present when it is related.
Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

“Be careful that you don’t do your charitable giving before men, to be seen by them, or else you have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.”

For our exhortation is not of error, nor of uncleanness, nor in deception.
